Short Update on Iran’s Threat today

Iran is threatening to cut off the Strait of Hormuz to all oil exports (basically everyone’s oil, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq etc) must pass through there. Nice… If they do that, their fate is sealed, not even Obama may be able to save them. (It speaks volumes of their strategy that to date has worked, if they talk big enough, the world trembles. Qaddafi’s pleads of “why are you randomly bombing us, we are friends” fell on completely unafraid deaf ears) But since they are unlikely to do that, we have a likely scenario of oil soaring short term (already did so on tension and the announcements passed $100 a barrel), and then coming back down after it blows over. Time to short? In event of an actual strike on Iran, be it from them cutting off Hormuz or an unrelated strike by Israel and/or the US on their nukes, oil will soar even higher for the duration of the conflict, and then once again drop down. The oil price equation is in this case not only very interesting for would be investors, but the entire geopolitical situation. As the world economy still hangs by thin [...]

More absurd statements

I have already described previously the annoying, illogical and constant slew of statements by every western leader and media pundit asking Qadaffi to realize he no longer has power, and then to please somehow step down and relinquish that power he does not have… Qadaffi meanwhile, continues to fight and issue statements for his people to continue resistance… Ironically, he does not declare that the various PMs of Europe have lost, should realize so, and step down, but simply that he fights on, and urges the Libyan people to do so as well. So, today, the Brittish Foreign Minister Hague, had a new call for Col. Qadaffi, don’t just please step down, but Hague called on Gadhafi to “stop issuing delusional statements.” It’s comic, Qadaffi’s statements that he will continue to fight, and will not surrender (as he is in fact doing), are “delusional” because they fail to “recognize” what the western leaders have asked him to recognize for months… that he no longer has power and cannot resist (though he still has and does). It is evident that Qadaffi’s refusal to kneel irritates the western bureaucrats to the core, long passed the point where they themselves [...]

Bomb London?

The Regime in London, in an inhuman attempt to maintain power, stability, lives and property, and prevent mobs from taking over large swaths of the country, sent its security forces to battle “innocent civilians”. It is clear that the rioting peasents simply wanted freedom, and to spread the enlightened youthful Arab Spring to the dark continent of Europe, ruled by older and wiser men. It is imperative, that Obama form an alliance (leading from behind), fronted by France of course, and launch a halphazard and confused bombing campaign on London to kill its soldiers, police officers, and of course PM Cameron’s grandchildren and son. Thousands of people must be bombed to death, in order to save the lives of the “innocent civillians” who are trying to destroy and pillage london in the name of various things, none of which are (and which the media must call) freedom. We must call on the EU, the UN, the Arab league, the World Bank, the IMF and Green peace to immediately order NATO forces to attack London, and the UK regime which apparently is hell bent on retaining power through the use of force by its security forces.

Way to go Bibi

Netanyahu: No war crimes trials for Israelis We will not allow Ehud Olmert, Tzipi Livni and Ehud Barak, who sent our sons to war, to arrive at the international court in the Hague Israel will not hand over its sons and leaders to the wolves… nice, Mayer Lansky would have enjoyed hearing that. Ironically, Olmert would have handed over Bibi in half a second. “We will not allow Ehud Olmert, Tzipi Livni and Ehud Barak, who sent our sons to war, to arrive at the international court in the Hague,” Netanyahu said. But Bibi is right, Olmert, Barak and Livni should be arrested and punished domestically and for the right reasons. Not internationally, and for the wrong ones. I am starting to see my old Israel back, keep it up Bibi, stand up the UN, to the US, to Europe (oh and then to the arabs, thats the easiest part), and please… just bomb Iran. I know Tzahal is ready, the Tzanchanim are ready, and I am sure the 202 is more than ready.
