The Trump Access Hollywood Leak, it’s Social Context and What is at Stake

The Lighthouse Keeper’s take on the Donald Trump Access Hollywood Tape that was recently leaked, and subsequently pummeled his poll numbers. This is an analysis of tape, the context in which it was leaked (after being held for 11 years by NBC and Access Hollywood only to be released by them (and the Washington Post) within a month of the General Election, and coinciding with the Wikileaks release of Hillary Clinton confidant John Podesta’s emails). It would always have generated some ratings, at any time during those 11 years, from the very next day, to any time after that including any time during Trump’s primary race and up until now as the GOP candidate in the general election campaign. It was however, appropriately not considered newsworthy as so much of the off air and off the record material the networks routinely collect during their day-to-day business. The Fake Media Outrage

Social Post: You guys ever hear, “hey, mind your tongue, there are ladies present”… or “watch your language in front of the lady..” ? Back before we all got confused and castrated… This would have been a common thing to hear in the rare case of a man speaking lewdly in front a lady. Today, while the latter is extremely common, the former in response not so much. In any case, there was a reason that saying didn’t go.. “hey, mind your manners in front of me, another guy.. lest I get offended”. Guys, as anyone who has lived on earth knows, can speak lewdly in private to each other. exaggerate, Bragg, “shoot the shit”… some locker room banter. not all men of course, but most in our society, and some in different degrees and styles than others. women some may be surprised, can also speak in ways they would not want repeated in public. and that is the point… public vs private.
