A Microcosm of the Conflict – and a strong and well restrained Mench.

Incredible… and not surprising. This video, apparently taking place in Australia, has been getting quite a bit of publicity on social media recently, as another example of islamist intolerance, but the most telling fact is likely to go unnoticed. The only reason a lone muslim dares attack a Jew (who by the way, nicely and easily subdued him on his own) among a crowd of Jews… is because he trusts in their values. He knows he is safe. Safe among the highly observant Jews, and safe thereafter in the hands of the civilized Australian police. Reversing the situation is unthinkable. Not only would a Jew not go scream insanities at a bunch of highly religious muslims, but if he did he would be likely beaten to death or near death (depending what country we are in and what if any police consequences there would be) by the mob. And this is a microcosm of the conflict at large… they understand the West, and use their knowledge of us and our values to their advantage, and we refuse to understand them and what they are and want. False Direction in the Ongoing debate about the Islamist threat

It has now been over week since the November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks. One of my initial reactions, was to criticise the typically shortsighted Western media coverage of the attacks, which were typically incorrectly jumping to conclusions about the source and objectives of the attack. They all started their “analysis” by presuming that France was “elected” as a target for this attack by the current Western euphemism for a boogeyman, ISIS or ISIL, in retaliation to some policy or combination of policies that France has applied externally and/or internally. As I wrote subsequent to the attack: Nothing could be further from the truth. No one “picked” France. The reason there are from 100 to 150 murdered people in Paris in a series of violent terrorist attacks in the last couple of days is because France and Paris are full of Muslims. To be more precise, France is full of Muslims and still has many non Muslims. This is the simple truth. And the more that the substantial non Muslim population placates and appeases the Muslim population, the more attacks there will be. Islam strikes Again, and so does the Western Media

Watching coverage of the latest carnage the West suffered at the hands of Muslim terrorists is even more troubling than the terrorist acts themselves. This is so because the coverage only indicates that there will be much more death in the future. The coverage mostly surrounds “Why Paris, why France?” .. and the “expert pundits” desperately try to depict France as actually hard-line in the anti-terror and anti-muslim spheres in order to show why the terrorists have chosen Paris as the target. So France is actually too extreme in its battle against Islam, and this is why it has been targeted; incredible! Nothing could be further from the truth. No one “picked” France. On the Palestinian UN Bid – Director’s cut – Great for a basic understanding beyond the headlines.

Sept 22 2011 The Director’s Cut to an Article I submitted here: The Palestinian UN Bid; The Danger and Folly The world in large part, with very important exceptions, seems to be backing the PLO Chairman and PNA President Mahmoud Abbas’s UN bid for full or partial membership of a Palestinian State. On the face it, I am sure the world citizen is tempted to ask: “And why not?” Of course to many who are avowed enemies of Israel, this is quite a positive development. But to many well meaning people in many well meaning countries, who in fact wish Israel no harm, it appears so as well. After all, “We”, believers of freedom, self-determination, human dignity and peace should support a people trying to achieve those goals. Beyond that, one may make the easy assumption that this bid for statehood is a watershed moment for ending the bitter, wretched, conflict that has been plaguing both the people of the Levant and the world. The aforementioned perspective is reasonable in light of the typical global media coverage of the conflict. The noose tightens… Turkey, Embassy attack (“I told you so”s, Rumsfeld) and much more…

These are a few notes combined that I have been wanting to write the last few days as events unfolded and was not able to find the time. Therefore, it is far too long, but divided into sections for those interested… Intro In spite of the 911 anniversary, (and awesomeness of seeing George W speak again), and the sharp reminder that should be of the enemy the west faces, quite the opposite seems to be happening, and the Obama era of appeasement of the USA’s enemies and betrayal of its friends is yielding direct results, the International noose is closing in around Israel who as always stands on the very front line of this War of West vs East. Some days ago, before the dramatic declarations and events in Egypt, the IDF Commander of the Home Front, Maj.-Gen. Eyal Eisenberg, warned about a possible Multi Front Middle-East-Wide War with WMDs being used. He cited the spiraling tensions with Turkey and (as apparently as a reader of my posts) and the revolutions across the Arab world. He also got into a lot of trouble for voicing this opinion. Egypt Too? Jordan? Syria? Bush seemed to be unfortunately right here as well.

All right, so things in Egypt are moving painfully fast, once cracks open in a damn, it is difficult to stop a total collapse. However, if the initial snowballing effect is resisted, and there is no panic among the elites and the Army, the protesters quickly run out of steam. However, as I stated in my previous note on the subject during the Tunisian riots, though these protests are possible in Egypt as well, it is certainly another matter. The security apparatus under Mubarak is loyal, powerful and expertly built for suppression. We saw Iran survive a similar seemingly unstoppable mass uprising (supported by the political opposition) just recently after the contested election of Ahmadinejad. So it is quite possible that Egypt could ride out the storm either intact or with a diminished grip on power or with promised declarations that neither he nor his son will run again for President. It is also possible that the 82 year old Mubarak has had enough, collapses, and that this continues to spread to other totalitarian regimes.
