The 22nd Knesset’s True Colors

At the Lighthouse, we have tried to let the people know that the Blue and White Alliance members are neither Zionists, nor centrists, but mere leftists and/or opportunists. And the voting bloc they represent and would form a government with (had it reached 61), is not a “Center-Left” bloc by any reasonable measure, as is reported, but a leftist if not far-left bloc. Why the mislabeling? Simple, the media is dominated by leftist individuals, but the term is not popular. Blue and White tried desperately to distance itself from the term, and the media helped. As desperately as they ran to the left once the election is over to form their government. The media can label the bloc “center-left”, but it cannot avoid naming its members. Blue and WhiteLabor (Labor-Gesher)Meretz (Democratic Union)The Arab parties (Joint List) These entities had 57 seats in the Knesset in the 21st Knesset, and pending final results, it seems they will have 57 give or take a seat, in the 22nd Knesset. Election 2019 and the Coalition

A picture in this case is worth 1000 words. As we predicted here, before anyone, the left did not win, despite endless reporting to the contrary, and Lieberman is in fact the Kingmaker. As my last update of the election night read: Official numbers are not out yet but already today, we have three types of reporting. We either have reports of a Likud and Benjamin Netanyahu loss, A Benny Gantz Blue and White victory, or a tie too close to call. All of these are massively inaccurate. The media reports the results on election day, typically by a right / left camp aggregate, since this is what matters in making of the coalition. In Israel, a single party never gets the 61 seats needed to rule on its own. But there are basic blocs that determine the victor. So when the media finally admitted last time (way way after we did here), that Benjamin Netanyahu “won” the election, this did not mean that the Likud alone had anywhere near the 61 seats needed. Israel Choses its Fate Today – 2015

(For a review of the parties and chart during the 2013 Election See here) Israel, today we vote… since we give a vote to a people at war with us and bent on our destruction (and in turn are called an apartheid state), the left has about a 22% advantage due the Arab vote. For the “right” to win in Israel, it does not need a majority of Jews to vote for it, it needs an overwhelming majority in order to overcome the near quarter population block that votes along with the Jewish left for the destruction of Israel… With Hamas on one border, ISIS nearing the gates on the other, instability all around, Jihadists (with western support) overturning stable and moderate Arab regimes, a US President openly disdainful of the single Jewish state in the world, and Muslim demographic overrunning much of the world making more and more countries unsafe for non muslims… any Israeli who votes left… deserves the fate that he is voting for.
