Israeli Elections 2019 V2 Updates & Results.

The media is feverishly reporting Benjamin Netanyahu has lost. However, as usual, and though the leftists declared victory (again, just like last time) since the AM… it is still far from certain. And in fact, there are some encouraging signs. Tel-Aviv, the urban heart of the secular left… looks thus far better (for the right and thus for Israel) than last 2019 election. The previous results, with about 63% voter turnout is the following: So far, with 56% of voters counted, blue and white is an incredible 7 points lower, and Likud a few higher. While Meretz is a bit higher (which is good, the party least likely to be able to sit with Lieberman if he really went beserk), Labor is lower. As predicted, the leftist fragmentation has hurt them, with this inclusion of the two former leftists leaders, Ehud Barak and the massive loser Amir Peretz. We also thus far are not looking like we will lose the 7 seats due to threshold issues as happened last time since the right wing parties consolidated. Israel Sept 2019 Elections

We reported extensively (and here) on the previous round of this year’s elections. And here we are again, with Israel deciding its fate, along with a few million others deciding it along as well. Without too much discussion, basically, Lieberman, who caused the first round of elections to begin with (by resigning after our humiliating surrender to Hamas), caused this second round as well by refusing to join the coalition. Prime Minister Netanyahu, it is rumored, agreed to correct the problematic situation that Minister of Defense Avigdor Lieberman had resigned over… and agreed to return this ministerial position to him with the additional authorities and guarantees required so that we would not surrender to and appease terrorist organizations again. However, according to press releases, this was not enough or the main issue, as Lieberman requested anti-haredi (anti religious) demands that simply could not co-exist with the observant members of the coalition, and so no right or center right coalition was possible. The left, which is Blue and White, Labor, Meretz and the Arab parties of course did not have the votes to make an alternative coalition so here we are for round two. Way to go Bibi

Netanyahu: No war crimes trials for Israelis We will not allow Ehud Olmert, Tzipi Livni and Ehud Barak, who sent our sons to war, to arrive at the international court in the Hague Israel will not hand over its sons and leaders to the wolves… nice, Mayer Lansky would have enjoyed hearing that. Ironically, Olmert would have handed over Bibi in half a second. “We will not allow Ehud Olmert, Tzipi Livni and Ehud Barak, who sent our sons to war, to arrive at the international court in the Hague,” Netanyahu said. But Bibi is right, Olmert, Barak and Livni should be arrested and punished domestically and for the right reasons. Not internationally, and for the wrong ones. I am starting to see my old Israel back, keep it up Bibi, stand up the UN, to the US, to Europe (oh and then to the arabs, thats the easiest part), and please… just bomb Iran. I know Tzahal is ready, the Tzanchanim are ready, and I am sure the 202 is more than ready.
