Sir Winston Churchill on the Jews

Sir Winston Churchill to whom the free world owes eternal gratitude, and almost as great beseeching of forgiveness, wrote the following:

SOME people like Jews and some do not; but no thoughtful man can doubt the fact that they are beyond all question the most formidable and the most remarkable race which has ever appeared in the world.

The words are humbling; It is impossible to imagine a greater compliment, and even harder to imagine that the Jewish nation is living up to it today…We should do more, and do better.

What is clear is that no thoughtful man can doubt the fact that The Last Lion (as William Manchester appropriately dubbed Mr Churchill) was beyond all question among the most formidable and the most remarkable men which have ever appeared in the world.
